Krsna (pronounced "Krishna"),The Supreme Personality of Godhead, is a summary study of the tenth canto of the Srimad-Bhagavatam. The Bhagavatam is an encyclopedic, 18,000 verse text—divided into twelve Cantos—chronicling many of Krishna's various incarnations over the millennia. It also describes the creation and cosmography of the material universes, and the lives of many pure devotees of Krishna and how they attained perfection.

The tenth canto of the Bhagavatam focuses on Krishna Himself and His activities when He appeared on earth five thousand years ago. In Krishna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead—popularly known as "Krishna Book"—we see the private life of the Supreme Person. Behind all the omnipotence and majesty, Krishna is the all-attractive, fun-loving, perfect person, eternally reciprocating unlimited varieties of loving relationships with His devotees.

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada wrote "Krishna Book" before he had even fully completed his translation and commentary on the Bhagavatam. He wanted people to hear about Krishna the person and His activities, in English, from an authorized representative of the Krishna-bhakti tradition. As he mentions in his Introduction, this was so they wouldn't risk mistaking Krishna to be just another human being and his pastimes as mundane adventure/romance stories.

The Nectar of Devotion is Srila Prabhupada's summary study of Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu ("The Ocean of the Pure Nectar of Devotional Service") by Rupa Goswami, a direct disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

According to Vedic tradition, Kapila Muni is one of the twelve mahajanas—leading authorities on scripture—as well as an avatara of the Supreme Absolute Truth. He appeared to teach Sankhya; the ancient system of metaphysics and spiritual knowledge which forms an important part of India’s ancient philosophical heritage.

Kapila’s teachings are originally found in the Srimad-Bhagavatam. On July 29, 1971, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada delivered a lecture at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Speaking mostly to an audience of young college students, he addressed many popular misconceptions about the meaning and goal of yoga.

Srila Prabhupada wrote Easy Journey to Other Planets—with its frequent mention of "antimatter" and "antimaterial particles"—as a short treatise in response to the mid-20th century "space race" era, when nations such as the U.S. and U.S.S.R. were obsessed with exploration of the moon, etc. by means of rocket-powered spacecraft. In the book, the author questions the ultimate significance of such endeavors, while pointing out that the exploration of material space is neither a new idea nor the most intelligent one, from the spiritual point of view.

Sri Isopanishad is one of the first books Srila Prabhupada published in the course of establishing the Hare Krishna movement in the Western world. Its eighteen mantras—Vedic hymns—are meant to focus the mind in meditation on the Supreme Person, Krishna.

Sri Isopanishad's mantras direct our attention toward how the Supreme Person is the complete whole of existence, and that all manifestations emanating from Him—including our bodies and the world we inhabit—are also complete in and of themselves. The Isa—"supreme controller"—for whom Isopanishad is named, is described as both far away and near, walking and not walking, and both within and outside of everything.

In the book's Introduction—adapted from a lecture Srila Prabhupada gave in London in 1968—he explains how the Vedas' teachings are perfect; Vedic sound is not of this world, not created by man, and thus not subject to human frailty and imperfection. Isopanishad is one of the principal Upanishads in Vedic literature that present the ultimate philosophical conclusions of all scripture.

Srila Prabhupada composed Sri Isopanishad with the same scholarly standards as his Bhagavad-gita As It Is and Srimad-Bhagavatam, providing the original Sanskrit verse, its English transliteration, word-for-word Sanskrit-English equivalents, translations and purports.
